Resorts and Areas

Estación invernal de San Isidro (León) Skiing is one of the attractions of winter tourism in Castilla y León. With the first winter snow, the peaks of the mountain ranges that make up the region's exceptional mountain geography, become an extraordinary and privileged place for skiing.

The mountains of the Cordillera Cantábrica (Cantabrian Mountain Range), those of the Sistema Central Ibérico (Central Iberian Range) and la Montaña Leonesa (the Leonese Mountain) allow winter sports to be carried out as well as visiting such beautiful spots by foot.

In the valleys, lovers of such kinds of active tourism will discover modern winter resorts, perfectly well communicated and near to urban centres with added tourist attractions: history, art and gastronomy.

San Isidro and Leitariegos, in León, La Pinilla and Navacerrada, in Segovia, Lunada and Valle del Sol in Burgos are some of the places where both beginners and experts will find it suitable to practise snowboarding. Cross-country skiing is another option in order to enjoy the nature of the unusual spots among Castilla y León's mountains.
