From here, you can access information about hiking routes (long and short distances) approved by the Federation of Mountain Sports, Climbing and Hiking of Castilla y León.
Before setting off, remember to observe the
COUNTRY CODE
.
-
Be very careful with fire, the main enemy of our forests. Do not light a fire; it is best to bring food that has already been cooked.
-
Do not smoke due to the hazard represented by a match or cigarette end that has not been put out properly.
-
Do not camp in the open countryside. Camp only in the allocated places. Leave everything as you find it.
-
Do not leave your rubbish behind or bury it in the ground. Put it in a bag and take it to the nearest waste collection point.
-
Always walk on marked paths and roads. Do not walk across farm fields. Watch where you tread.
-
Leave everything as it was. Close the gates you come across on your route. They are important for cattle.
-
Look after the springs, rivers and streams and do not throw any kind of rubbish, detergent or oil in them.
-
Don't take branches from trees or pick flowers; other people want to enjoy them too and
some species are in danger of extinction.
-
Do not use excessively loud music apparatuses or drive around in motor vehicles; they take away the peace and quiet of the countryside.
-
Try not to make too much noise when you are walking in a group near rocks and between the months of January and June, since you might upset birds during the breeding season.
To follow these routes, you will find it useful to be familiar with the
symbols
you will come across:
