The grape and wine-growing region of Cebreros is located to the south east of the province of Ávila. It rests among mountainous areas and hillocks where there are abundant masses of pine-trees, oak-trees, thickets and land scrubs used for cultivating vineyards and olive groves, reaching its highest point in the south east, in the Sierra Merina. Also, it is the only grape and wine-growing region where the "garnacha" variety prevails.
